    Hi,

I would like to set the “add a listing” and “my listings” as children of “listings” menu item.

But this comes up as an unknown page. (the link is http://www.mysite.com/listings/add-a-listing/)

I have not touched the permalinks in settings/permalinks.

    Any advice please

    Hi,

I doubt that will work. Permalinks are a wordpress construct, we do not control or manage them. As you noted, the permalink for posts generated by BePro Listings is “listings”. So wordpress is expecting everything after that url parameter will be a listing generated by the custom post type associated with the permalink.

I suggest if sub pages is important to your project, that you either change the permalink or use a different page to showcase search results. There is nothing requiring you to put search results on /listings. From what you have shared, it doesn’t sound like wordpress will allow you to mix custom post types and normal page/posts
